Keystone Heights High School, led by Candace Jackson, placed sixth at the Region 1-1A girls golf finals on Nov. 2 at St. Johns Golf and Country Club.
The Indians had a team score of 440, with Jackson tying for 13th as an individual with an 18-hole score of 84. She made par on eight holes in improving her regional score from last season by three strokes.
The match consisted of 58 players.
Bolles won the team championship with a score of 305, with Providence (339) and Episcopal (349) placing second and third, respectively. The top three teams and the top three individuals not on those teams earned automatic berths to the state finals. Four additional teams and four individuals in Class 1A will receive at-large state bids at a later date.
Jackson was the sixth highest individual not on one of the top three teams.
Keystone’s M.J. Rivera tied for 29th with a score of 104, while Mia Rivera was 40th with a score of 120. M.J. Rivera, who made par on one hole, improved her score from last season by two strokes, while Mia Rivera was making her first regional appearance.
The Indians’ Rexi Lewis made her first regional appearance as well, tying for 47th with a score of 132. She made par on one hole.
Bradford had one participant in Cassidy Spratlin, who made par on one hole and placed 41st with a score of 123.
