Keystone Heights High School capped the regular season in girls soccer in a big way, with Kiersten Shaw scoring four goals in an 8-0 win at Fort White on Jan. 21.
Sydnie Colaw and Ella Hutchins each scored two goals as the Indians improved to 13-5-3.
Shaw and Lindsay Hovsepian each had two assists, while Hutchins and Raegan Hogg each had one.
Keystone entered the match off a 1-1 tie at Eastside on Jan. 20.
Goalie Miranda Yow made 10 saves, while Elizabeth Waughon scored the Indians’ lone goal off an Alee Horton assist.
The Indians earned the number-two seed in the District 4-3A tournament, which is being hosted by Newberry High School. Keystone will play seventh-seed Interlachen in a quarterfinal match on Wednesday, Jan. 26, at 5:30 p.m. If they win, the Indians will play either third-seed Trinity Catholic or sixth-seed Williston in a semifinal match on Thursday, Jan. 27, at 5 p.m.
Semifinal winners play for the championship on Saturday, Jan. 29, at noon.
The rest of the tournament consists of top-seed P.K. Yonge, fourth-seed Newberry and fifth-seed Fort White.
