KHHS girls tennis team defeats BHS

Keystone Heights High School hosted Bradford in a girls tennis match on Feb. 15, winning 4-3.

The Indians (2-2) earned three victories in singles play. Raegan Feldpausch defeated Maya Moss 8-1 at the number-three spot, Alyssa Lee defeated Victoria Hudgens 8-3 at the number-four spot and Joann Mason defeated Rylie Harris 8-3 at the number-five spot.

Bradford (0-3) got singles wins from Reagan Harris and Caitlyn Jackson. Harris defeated Shaylyn Williams 8-5 at the number-one spot, while Jackson defeated Whitnee Buchanan 9-7 at the number-two spot.

Harris and Jackson teamed up for an 8-3 number-one doubles win over Williams and Alli Tisdale.

Keystone won the other doubles match, with Buchanan and Feldpausch defeating Moss and Brooke Rodriguez 8-0.

It was the second straight win for the Indians, who defeated Union County 4-3 on Feb. 13 in Lake Butler.

Buchanan won 8-1 in singles, while Mason and Tisdale had wins of 8-6 and 8-0, respectively.

In doubles, Buchanan and Tisdale teamed up to win 8-1.

Keystone travels to play Palatka on Monday, Feb. 26, at 4 p.m. The Indians then return home to play Santa Fe on Tuesday, Feb. 27, at 4 p.m.

Bradford hosts West Nassau on Tuesday, Feb. 20, at 3:40 p.m. and will host Ridgeview on Thursday, Feb. 22, at 3 p.m.
