Keystone Heights High School captured both the Olympic and traditional team championship trophies for the third straight year, earning 13 individual titles as well at the District 6-1A girls weightlifting meet on Jan. 24 at KHHS.
The Indians had a team score of 93 in the Olympic event, winning eight of the 10 weight classes to finish ahead of Baldwin (56), Fort White (20), St. Johns Country Day (14) and Bishop Snyder (10).
Cadie Bowles, Ashlyn Brown, Paige Harrington and Ava Herman, Kaylee Park, Alyssa Sanford, Chloe Still and Morgan Wilson earned automatic berths in the Region 2 meet by winning their classes. Six lifters earned at-large bids to the region meet based on their totals at the district meet: Jaden Fernandez, Natalie Layfield, Aubre Miller, Lily Mitchell, Kaiya Thompson and London Williams.
Keystone claimed the traditional championship with 72 points. Union County was the runner-yup with 39 points, followed by Bradford (37), Baldwin (32), Fort White (29) and Bishop Snyder (8).

Bowles, Herman, Mitchell, Park and Still were individual champions, while the following received at-large region berths: Brown, Harrington, Miller, Sanford, Thompson, Williams, Wilson, Makenzi Brinson and Raegan Lee.
The Region 2 meet is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 1, at Chiefland Middle-High School. Lifting will begin at 10 a.m.
Olympic
Brown and Still were the second- and third-best pound-for-pound lifters in the Olympic event, with Brown winning the 154-pound class with a 260-pound total (125 snatch, 135 clean and jerk) and Still winning the 139 class with a 245 total (90, 155). Still had successful lifts on all three of her snatch attempts and all three of her clean-and-jerk attempts.
Other individual-championship totals were Bowles with a 180 total (75, 105) in the 110 class, Sanford with a 195 total (85, 110) in the 119 class, Park with a 205 total (85, 120) in the 129 class, Wilson with a 230 total (95, 135) in the 169 class, Harrington with a 225 total (100, 125) in the 183 class and Herman with a 250 total (100, 150) in the unlimited class.
It was the third straight year Harrington won an Olympic district title.
Five lifters were runners-up in their classes: Williams with a 115 total (50, 65) in the 101 class, Layfield with a 195 total (80, 115) in the 129 class, Thompson with a 190 total (80, 110) in the 139 class, Mitchell with a 210 total (85, 125) in the 183 class and Jade Stacey with a 155 total (70, 85) in the 199 class.
Layfield, like Still, had successful lifts on all of her snatch and clean-and-jerk attempts.
Earning third-place finishes were Miller with a 160 total (65, 95) in the 110 class, Fernandez with a 170 total (70, 100) in the 119 class and Lee with a 200 total (180, 120) in the 169 class.

Traditional
Four Keystone lifters finished the evening with two district championships each, winning their weight classes in both Olympic and traditional. Their traditional results were Bowles with a 205 total (105 clean and jerk, 100 bench press), Park with a 230 total (120, 110), Still with a 310 total (155, 155) and Herman with a 305 total (150, 155).
Still, won the traditional district championship last year, was the top pound-for-pound traditional lifter.
The Indians also got a win from Mitchell, who had a 255 total (125, 130).
Brown was the runner-up in her class with a 265 total (135, 130).
Six lifters earned third-place finishes: Williams with a 130 total (65, 65), Miller with a 175 total (95, 80), Sanford with a 205 total (110, 95), Thompson with a 225 total (110, 115), Brinson with a 250 total (120, 130) in the 154 class and Wilson with a 270 total (135, 135).
Harrington placed fourth with a 245 total (125, 120), while fifth-place finishes were earned by Fernandez with a 180 total (100, 80) and Lee with a 245 total (120, 125).
Stacey was sixth with a 185 total (85, 100).
