KHHS’ Griffin places 11th out of 210 at Bob Hans meet

Tyler Griffin earned an 11th-place finish for Keystone Heights at Ridgeview High School’s Bob Hans Invitational, which was held on Sept. 10.

Griffin, one of 210 runners, crossed the line in 17:57.

The Indians’ Ryder Thomas finished in the top half of the field, placing 88th with a time of 20:59.

Also competing for Keystone in the boys race were Shepherd Rozier (22:23), Jaden Park (22:46), Anthony Peak (24:26), Liam Callahan (24:40) and Josiah Durrenberger (25;19).

The girls team’s Olivia Griffin placed 65th out of 162 with a time of 24:59. Teammates Alexis Taylor and Ella Hutchins ran times of 29:30 and 31:26, respectively.

Keystone competed in the Eddie Mingle Open on Sept. 6 at Etoniah Creek State Forest in Florahome, with Tyler Griffin placing third out of 63 and Olivia Griffin placing 15th out of 52.

Tyler Griffin finished with a time of 18:48, while Durrenberger and Park were 28th and 32nd, respectively, with times of 25:09 and 25:29.

Olivia Griffin posted a time of 28:12 and was joined in the race by the following teammates: Taylor (32:08), Kendall Gagnon (35:44), Rigby Morford (36:58), Hutchins (37:11), Clara Beth Robinson (38:58) and Shaylyn Williams (40:10).
