Keystone Heights track and field athletes competed at the May 2 Region 1-2A meet at Pensacola’s Pine Forest High School, with Kaylee Park placing in the top 10 in the 100m hurdles.
Park ran a ninth-place time of 16.72 seconds, giving the Indians their highest finish. She was also a member of the 4x400m relay team, running a 14th-place time of 4:27.20 with Christine DJavaheri, Olivia Griffin and Ashly McCarthy.
Ryder Thomas finished 12th in the boys 3200m with a time of 10:14.24. He and Hunter Sheppard both ran the 1600m, with Sheppard placing 15th with a time of 4:48.92 and Thomas placing 18th with a time of 4:53.17.
Keystone got two 15th-place finishes, with Griffin running the 800m in 2:32.27 and Baylor Ford getting a distance of 19 fee, 6.75 inches in the long jump.
Xana Briley had a 16th-place distance of 78-4 in the girls javelin, while the Indians got two 20th-place finishes in boys events: Luke Lewis with a distance of 114-11 in the javelin and Jamari Turner clearing 5-3.75 in the high jump.
