KHHS runners compete in Oct. 9 Bobcat Classic

Keystone Heights High School competed in the Buchholz Bobcat Cross Country Classic at Santa Fe College in Gainesville on Oct. 9, with Tyler Griffin placing 65th out of 195 in the varsity boys race.

Griffin ran a time of 18:56, while Olivia Griffin, placed 88th in the 154-member varsity girls race with a time of 24:09.

Six others ran for Keystone in the boys race: Ryder Thomas (20:22), Tyler Shaw (20:30), Anthony Peak (21:17), Ayden Graff (21:21), Will Begue (22:58) and Clark Byrnes (23:23).

Ella Hutchins and Morgan Kenney joined Griffin in the girls race, finishing with times of 28:32 and 29:37, respectively.

Shaylyn Williams finished 40th ouf of 51 in the junior varsity girls race with a time of 32:00, while Beckett Capper finished 86th out of 93 in the JV boys race with a time of 29:09.
