Keystone Heights High School attempted a rally in the final inning, scoring four runs before eventually losing 7-5 to visiting Santa Fe in a softball game on April 10.

With one on and two outs in the bottom of the seventh, the Indians (4-13) got a single from Nattallie Glinski that scored Caitlin Frampton. After Abbie Roach reached on an error, Alaina Kinsall hit an RBI single. Kiley Channell then reached on a fly ball error that allowed Keystone’s final run to score. A fly out ended the game.

Kinsall went 4 for 4. She, Channell and Glinski each had one RBI.

On April 4, the Indians fell behind 8-0 before ultimately losing 9-7 to host West Nassau.

A three-run homer and a grand slam helped the Warriors build the early big lead.

Keystone scored three runs in the third on an error and cut their deficit to 8-5 when Roach hit a two-run homer in the sixth.

The Indians entered the top of the seventh trailing 9-5. An error and singles by Amber Wagner and Kadence Massey loaded the bases with no outs. After an infield fly out and a strikeout, Roach hit a two-run single. A line out to the pitcher ended the game.

Roach went 4 for 4 with four RBI, while Kinsall had three RBI.

Channell and Frampton went 2 for 2 and 2 for 4, respectively.
