Keystone Heights High School’s cross-country teams participated in the Middleburg Bronco Classic on Aug. 31, with Ryder Thomas finishing 12th in the 189-member varsity boys field.
Thomas, who had a personal record of 17:33, was one of nine Keystone runners in the boys race. Also participating for the Indians were Jason Parales 23:06, Gavin Morford 23:13, Eli Rabe 23:43, Adam Bell 23:50, Mason Gray 24:06, Hunter Gray 25:14, Alex Mahaffey 25:36 and Oliver Miller 27:12.
Girls runner Olivia Griffin placed 75th out of 172 with a time of 24:28.
Also running for Keystone in the girls race were Melody Tyre 26:21, London Williams 27:16, Kenslee Phillips 27:32, Brook Graudons 29:41, Madilyn Miller 30:08 and Clara Beth Robinson 34:13.
Keystone will next compete in the 11th annual Florida Horse Park Invitational in Ocala on Saturday, Sept. 7, with racing beginning at 7:20 a.m.
