KHHS ties top-10 Episcopal in boys soccer

Keystone Heights High School hosted the eighth-ranked team in the Florida High School Athletic Association/MaxPreps Class 2A power rankings, finishing in a 1-1 tie against Episcopal in a boys soccer match on Jan. 16.

The Class 3A Indians trailed 1-0 before A.J. Nilsen scored off a Noah Jaramillo assist in the second half.

Keystone (11-7-3) entered the match off a 1-0 win at Williston on Jan. 13, getting a penalty kick goal from Jaramillo and a shutout from goalies

The Indians, who haven’t lost since Dec. 10, 2025, are the second seed in the District 4-3A tournament. They have a first-round bye and will play either third seed Eastside or sixth seed Interlachen in a semifinal match on Friday, Jan. 23, at 5:30 p.m. at Santa Fe High School. If Keystone wins that match, it will play top seed Santa Fe, fourth seed Palatka or fifth seed North Marion for the championship on Tuesday, Jan. 27, at 7:30 p.m. at Santa Fe.
