KHHS’ Wiley is Sun’s top player

Indians have a total of 4 honored in soccer and basketball

Keystone Heights High School junior Aaron Wiley was named The Gainesville Sun’s Boys Soccer Player of the Year.

Wiley, a forward, scored 37 goals, which ranked him first in Class 3A and second in all of Florida regardless of classification. He also ranked 22nd nationally.

He also recorded 12 assists and had 86 points, ranking him first in Class 3A, fourth in Florida and 31st nationally.

Wiley’s teammate Jayden Park, a senior defender, was named to the Sun’s All-Area first team.

Keystone junior Kiersten Shaw was a first-team pick on the Sun’s All-Area Girls Soccer Team. She had 34 goals, which ranked her seventh in Class 3A and 22nd in Florida. She also had six assists and had 74 points on the season, ranking her ninth in 3A.

The Indians had one boys basketball player honored on the Sun’s Big-School All-Area Team. Senior forward Garrison Teague averaged 8.5 points and 8.5 rebounds per game. He ranked 15th in Class 4A in rebounds and was 24th in double-doubles with six.
