Lam scores 4 goals in 8-1 win for KHHS girls soccer team

Halea Lam scored four goals for the Keystone Heights High School girls soccer team, which improved to 3-0 in District 4-3A with an 8-1 win at Interlachen on Dec. 16.

Lam also had two assists as the Indians improved to 9-4-2 overall.

Alyssa Townsend scored two goals, while Tayler Buchanan and Kayden Huntley each had one.

The Indians got one assist each from Buchanan, Huntley, Townsend and Kayle Buchanan.

Goalie Aspen Krohn made five saves.

Keystone went 1-0-1 in its previous two matches, with the tie a scoreless affair against host Trinity Christian on Dec. 12. Krohn made seven saves.

On Dec. 13, Keystone traveled to play Trinity Catholic, getting two goals each from Huntley, Lam and Townsend in defeating the Celtics 8-1.

Kaylee Park and Alexis VanNordstrand each had one goal.

Townsend led the team in assists with four, while Lam, Tayler Buchanan and Kaleigh Coffey each had one.

Xana Briley made eight saves in goal.

The Indians travel to play district opponent Palatka on Thursday, Dec. 19, at 7 p.m.
