Harper Blizzard made her mark in a large field of fellow players as she was selected for the USSSA Softball Southeast Region All-American Team.
Blizzard, a 9-year-old who’s going into the fourth grade at Lake Butler Elementary School, was one of more than 2,000 players from throughout the U.S. who attended tryouts. The daughter of Lake Butler Middle School Head Softball Coach Cory Blizzard tried out at pitcher and shortstop.
The team Blizzard is a part of will play in the All-American Games, which will take place July 28-Aug. 2 at the USSA Space Coast Complex in Viera.
