STARKE— A Bradford County jury awarded a Starke man $50,000 in damages related to a 2019 rear-end collision.
Adam Otis said in a complaint that Alyssa Lee Paulbeskie, operating a 2005 Nissan Sintra owned by Martha Slater, crashed into his motor vehicle when he stopped for traffic on U.S. 301 near Hampton.
On Dec. 7, jurors awarded Otis $40,000 for past medical expenses and $10,000 for future medical costs.
However, the plaintiff’s attorneys Morgan and Morgan failed to persuade jurors that Otis suffered permanent injury due to the May 17, 2019 crash and awarded no damages for pain and suffering, disability, physical impairment, mental anguish, inconvenience, aggravation of a disease or physical defect or loss of capacity for the enjoyment of life sustained.
