LAKE BUTLER—The Florida Highway Patrol said a 37-year-old Baker County man was killed on State Road 121 in Union County Monday afternoon after he crashed into a semi-trailer.
The agency said the man was driving a van southbound on the highway around 4 p.m. when it veered into the northbound lane, striking the oncoming 18-wheeler.
FHP said in a crash report that the Glen St. Mary resident was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the semi, a 37-year-old man from Alachua, was uninjured.
