KEYSTONE HEIGHTS — The 2022 Motosurf Games will begin this weekend at Keystone Beach Park.

In a news release, the event’s organizer Airstream Ventures said the competition features conventional fuel-powered motorized surfboards and a race section with fully electric powered boards now accompanied with e-Foils – a brand new segment of personal watercraft sports.

“For the action on the shore,” Airstream said, “motoskate racing will be ready to entertain the fans who will have full access to demo rides. The MotoSurf Games is a fan-friendly, free event where fans can actually ride the boards that the pro’s compete on.”

The MotoSurf Games will feature four stops in its United States tour and will once again be nationally televised on CBS Sports Network.

Airstream said motosurf racing was established in the Czech Republic in 2012. Motosurf racing came to the United States as a new format called Motosurf Games.

“The purpose of the games is to combine thrilling racing action and lots of fun,” the event organizer said.  “The concept of Motosurf Games is the combination of classic racing, electric challenge relay-racing with full electric motorized surfboards, a jetsurf fun race and America’s first motoskate race. This combination provides a great weekend full of adrenaline, fun, and lots of new experiences.”

“Friday evening will be an open course concept where individuals can bring their family and friends to see the course, try out the boards,” Airstream continued, “and learn in more detail how each board works. You must be registered online at motosurf games waiver to participate in a board trial run.”
