KEYSTONE HEIGHTS— City officials and event sponsors said they received positive feedback from racers and organizers of the MotoSurf Games held at Keystone Beach last weekend.

City Manager Lynn Rutkowski said participants told her the crowds in Keystone Heights were the largest crowds ever to witness the racing.

She added that racing teams appreciated Lake Geneva’s proximity to businesses and other support services.

The Lake Region Development Corporation sponsored the event, and Executive Director Scott Kornegay said a large television and internet audience saw the Keystone Heights area at its best.

“The Lake Region received international media coverage with the event being televised on CBS Sports and live streamed on several YouTube channels,” he said. ‘Motosurf organizers and participants said that Keystone Heights and Lake Geneva was the best venue that they have competed at. They have indicated that they would like to return to Keystone Heights next year and possibly consider two engagements rather than one.”
