Bradford and Union County were still ranked first in their respective regions, with the Tornadoes also holding onto their overall ranking of first in Class 2S with the Oct. 5 release of the Florida High School Athletic Association football RPI rankings.

End-of-the season rankings will be used to determine playoff qualifiers and postseason seeding.

Bradford is a member of Region 2 in Class 2S. The top four teams in the region behind Bradford, in order, are Baldwin, Eastside, Palatka and Baker County. The Tornadoes have beaten three of those teams — Baldwin by a score of 35-0, Eastside by a score of 28-0 and Baker by a score of 21-0.

The rest of the top 10 in Region 2-2S consists of Tocoi Creek, North Marion, Yulee, Fernandina Beach and Crescent City.

When looking at Class 2S as a whole, the top 10 teams in order are Bradford, Florida High, South Sumter, Baldwin, Wakulla, Palm Bay, Eastside, Bay, Pensacola Catholic and Palatka.

To qualify for the playoffs, Bradford will either have to be the District 6 champion, coming out on top of Keystone Heights, Palatka and Tocoi Creek, or have one of the top-four RPI rankings among non-district champions in Region 2.

In Class 1R, Union is ranked first in Region 3 ahead of Lafayette, Madison County, Branford, Hilliard, Fort White, Bell and Hamilton County.

When looking at Class 1R as a whole, the Tigers are fourth behind Williston, Chiefland and Hawthorne. The rest of the top 10 behind Union are Pahokee, Northview, Sneads, Wildwood, Chipley and Lafayette.

To qualify for the playoffs, the Tigers must have one of the top-six RPI rankings among the eight total teams in Region 3.
