Arnola Hall
Arnola Hall, 85, of Keystone Heights died Friday, Feb. 20, 2026, in Middleburg. She was born March 14, 1940, in Cairo, Georgia, to James Arnold and Manola Boynton. She was preceded in death by sons, Richard Wayne (Shelli) Hall Jr. and James Scott (Pam) Hall. She was grandmother to Scott Hall Jr. and Ellisa Hall.
A visitation will be Monday, March 16, at 10 a.m., followed by funeral services at 10:30 a.m. officiated by Pastor Steve Conner at Jones-Gallagher Keystone Funeral Home, 340 E. Walker Drive, Keystone Heights 32656.
Robert Horne
Mr. Robert “Bob” Clyde Horne, 74, of Keystone Heights passed away Monday, March 9, 2026, at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center in Palatka. He was born Oct. 15, 1951, in Jacksonville, to John and Essie (Adams) Horne. A longtime and active member of First Baptist Church, Bob was a man of faith and community. He was known for his warm heart and willingness to help others. He dedicated many years of his life to his work as a furnace operator at Anchor Glass Container Company, where he was proud to be a member of the GMP Union. An avid sportsman and gun enthusiast, he loved the outdoors and the thrill of adventure, sharing his passion with friends and family alike. His joy for life and zest for outdoor activities created cherished memories that will be forever held in the hearts of his loved ones. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Kathy Tommasini and Janet Young.
Bob is survived by his brother, James “Jim” (Linda) Horne of Melrose; and two nephews and three nieces, who will miss him dearly. He leaves behind a wide circle of family and friends, all of whom will feel the void left by his absence.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 14, at First Baptist Church with Pastor Ryan Begue officiating.

Sandra Sanders
Mrs. Sandra “Lu” Green Sanders, 86 of Starke passed away at her home on Friday, Feb. 27, 2026. She was born Jan. 14, 1940, in Gainesville to Robert Alexis and Bessie Lucile (Harris) Green. Her life was a vibrant life filled with love, laughter, and purpose, making her home in Starke for many years. She was a dedicated educator, touching countless lives over her years in the public school system as both a teacher and a beloved pre-K instructor from her own home. Known for her indomitable spirit and tenacity, she also made history as the first woman to be named Top Agent for Gulf Life, excelling in her role as an insurance agent. Beyond her professional accomplishments, she had a deep passion for her faith, serving as a Messianic evangelist and she never passed up an opportunity to led someone to Christ. A talented decorator, collector, and most importantly, avid shopper, her creativity shone through in every aspect of her life. Though she once dreamed of becoming a dress designer, she chose the path of love and family, ultimately finding joy in the relationships she created and nurtured throughout her lifetime. As a life-long member of Starke Woman’s Club, she earned the distinction of being the youngest president of the club, reflecting her commitment to community service and leadership. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Curtis G. Sanders, with whom she shared nearly 56 beautiful years of marriage; along with two brothers, Judge R.A. “Buzzy” (Saundra) Green Jr. and Michael Green.
Left behind to cherish her memory is her son, Attorney Curtis A. “Lex” Sanders; her brother, William “Bill” (Diane) Green; dear nephews, Lex (Bonnie) Green III and Dr. Harris (Lisa) Green; nieces, Kathy (Kelly) Green, Melanie G. (John) Hancock and Amber G. (Brian) McHugh; cousins and many wonderful friends. She was a loving “Aunt Lu” to a bundle that will miss her dearly.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, March 14, at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church with Mr. Harry Hatcher officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:30 p.m. Private interment will follow at New River Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Melissa Ann Savoy, 53, of Keystone Heights passed away at her home Friday, March 6, 2026. She was born June 14, 1972, in Prince George’s County, Maryland to Charles and Ruby (McDonald) Lynch. In her time as a bus driver for Clay County schools, Melissa became a familiar and cherished presence for her school kids. She had a unique ability to form connections and bring smiles to their faces, often sharing her passion for reading and her love for life. An avid reader and a collector of cows, she had a zest for life that was infectious. She was known for her warm spirit and her ability to make anyone feel welcome. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her son, Shane Savoy.
She is survived by her husband of 30 wonderful years of marriage, Wayne Savoy; three children, Victoria (Logan) Gorman, Courtney Savoy, and Brendon Tippett. Also left behind is her mother, Ruby (McDonald) Lynch; and siblings, Kathy Tucker, Debbie Fortney, Toni Reyes, and Ricky Smith. She was lovingly called “Meme” by Dylan Piscitelli and Jayden Tippett.
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 12, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at the funeral home chapel, with services beginning at 6 p.m.

Patricia Sumpter
Mrs. Patricia Ann Sumpter, 93, of Keystone Heights, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2026, in Ocala following an extended illness. She was born Oct. 3, 1932, in Jacksonville to Mashburn and Yvette (White) Ragan. A dedicated homemaker, she poured her heart and soul into her family and her home. She was a loving mother to two sons, and grandmother of seven grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren. She cherished every moment spent with them. Her warm spirit and commitment to her family reflected her deep-rooted values and her strong Baptist faith, which were integral parts of her life. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William C “Bill” Sumpter in 2009; her son, William Kenneth “Kenny” Sumpter in 1973; and her grandson, Skyler Sumpter in 2012.
Her survivors are her sons, Russell “Rusty” (Susie) Sumpter of Keystone Heights and Scott (Marta) Sumpter of Belleview.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 14, at Jones-Gallagher Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tom Tyer officiating.
