Union County’s 8U Babe Ruth all-star softball team played its way to the championship game before finishing as the runner-up in the District 3 tournament on June 12 in Alachua. The team’s journey continues at the state tournament, which will be played Thursday through Monday, June 23-27, in Lake City. Making it all possible has been the support of a lot of local businesses, family, friends and others in the community.
