STARKE—A man who was pulled over in Citrus County after a deputy heard loud music from his SUV was sentenced in Bradford County to 20 months in prison after he pleaded to a probation violation.
Dickie Lynn Tribble, 48, was arrested in Bradford County in 2022 for driving with a suspended or revoked license and was sentenced to two years’ probation.
On April 1, 2023, a Citrus County deputy wrote that he was on patrol on South Suncoast Boulevard in Crystal River when he observed a gold SUV “approximately 30 feet in front of me with its audio music at an audible level that I could hear the lyrics from my patrol vehicle.”
The deputy conducted a traffic stop after running the gold SUV’s tag and found that the plate was registered to a red sport utility vehicle.
Tribble told the deputy that he had just gotten the vehicle painted, and the officer arrested the driver after discovering that the defendant’s license had been suspended and that he was on probation in Bradford County.
A Citrus County judge sentenced the defendant to 18 months in prison for driving with a suspended license in Crystal River. The Bradford probation violation sentence will run concurrently with the Citrus County sentence.
