Popular haunts in Lake Butler

Special to the Times

Phoenix Edwaards and Ava Collins are all dressed up and ready for the holiday.

Many Fall Festival goers gathered behind the First Christian Church of Lake Butler to express themselves and enjoy entertainment for all with offerings of sweet treats and community fellowship. Each individual’s expression of their favorite theme characters was an example of what can be revealed when the inner child is allowed to come out and play.

With several popular haunts around town, the Union County Sheriff’s Office deputies were kind enough to provide lighted areas where caution prevailed for ghosts and humans. The most popular neighborhoods for the most ghoulish traffic of the evening ranged from the around the lake to areas across town behind the schools and out of town as well.

There were several hundred by the church and the Reception Medical center was visited by at least one thousand or more.

The neighborhoods behind the schools held more than could be counted with ghosts and witches coming and going in all directions, seeking sweet rewards to entice ghouls and trolls to do their bidding.

So witch area is the most popular haunt in town? As twilight settles, the day’s end into night  ghoulish traffic grows as darkness descends and the magic of the season of Halloween begins. Sweet offerings to appease these spirits where they roam will ensure goodwill. Sweets and treats until midnight rules as it is known that every ghoul has the weakness of a sweet tooth. Watch out along your way on this special night and be prepared with sweet treats and a sweet disposition as both will work well.

Celebrate this magic through the seasons coming and embrace the New Year.
