A Bradford County woman was sentenced to two years’ drug offender probation after pleading to attacking an elderly person in 2024.
Carol Lynn Sanders, 48, pleaded to one count of battery on a person 65 years or older, and the state dropped a second count.
According to an arrest report, witnesses told deputies the defendant became angered after overhearing a telephone conversation and struck a female victim with a closed fist on the left side of her head and struck a male victim with a walking stick in the right knee. When the male attempted to restrain Sanders, she punched him in the head and face with closed fists.
The male was eventually able to restrain Sanders until law enforcement arrived.
