Recent arrests in Bradford, Union and Clay

June 4 through June 10

The following individuals were arrested recently by local law enforcement officers in Bradford, Union or Clay (Keystone Heights-area) counties. All defendants are considered innocent until convicted in a court or until pleading guilty or no contest. Information in this report is from law enforcement agencies and court documents, which are public records.

Bradford

Antonika Lashelle Baker, 24, of Gainesville was arrested by Bradford deputies on June 8 for an out-of-county warrant.

Ailee Marie Bly, 20, of Worthington Springs was arrested by Bradford deputies on June 10 for possession of drug equipment and possession of drugs.

David Byon Brauchle, 34, of Starke was arrested by Starke police on June 6 for disorderly intoxication.

Cayla Nichole Carter, 31, of Starke was arrested by Bradford deputies on June 8 for an out-of-county warrant.

Stanley Milton Courson, 63, of Lake Butler was arrested by Bradford deputies on June 4 for driving a vehicle without registration and driving with a suspended or revoked license.

Roosevelt Covington, 61, of Starke was arrested by Bradford deputies on June 10 for selling cocaine, possession of cocaine and using a two-way communications device to facilitate a felony.

DUI in McDonald’s drive-through

Tonda Renee Crews, 54, of Starke was arrested by Starke police on June 4 for DUI.

According to an arrest report, while in the drive through at McDonald’s the defendant rear-ended another vehicle while the driver was waiting to get her food from the restaurant.

Crews told arresting officer Jason Green that she was unaware she hit the vehicle ahead of her until notified by another party. 

Green wrote that because of the defendant’s slurred speech and the smell of alcohol, he asked Crews to submit to field sobriety exercises. After the tests, he arrested her.

Robert Keith Davidson, 53, of Middleborough, Massachusetts was arrested by Lawtey police on June 6 for an out-of-county warrant.

Crystal Dawn Finklea, 40, of Pensacola was arrested by Bradford deputies on June 4 for possession of drugs and smuggling contraband into a correctional facility.

Abram Griffis, 48, of Lawtey was arrested by Bradford deputies on June 7 for driving with a suspended or revoked license, possession of a weapon by a felon or delinquent, possession of marijuana, trafficking amphetamine, trafficking drugs, possession of drug equipment, delivering or distributing drugs and use of a two-way communications device to facilitate a felony.

James Michael Harper, 40, of Starke was arrested by Bradford deputies on June 7 for a probation violation and contempt of court.

Charges dropped same day of arrest

Jamalcolm Earl Isler, 27, of Starke was arrested by Bradford deputies on June 7 for assault.

According to an arrest report, the defendant used a tire iron to bust a car window after one of the car’s occupants: Lakwanzaa Griffin tried to cut his tires and run over him with the vehicle. Lakwanzaa and two other occupants of the car went to an area hospital due to injuries received from the shattering glass. 

Isler was booked into the county jail at 2:57 a.m. Later that morning, Assistant State Attorney Lua Lepianka filed a case action report, dropping all charges against the defendant.

Angry cyclist arrested after flat tires

Kevin Trevon Jenkins, 24, of Starke was arrested by Bradford deputies on June 5 for battery.

According to an arrest report, the defendant confronted a Hampton boy over glass that had been littered around a residence, and during the argument, body slammed the child to the ground.

 “Kevin states that he regularly commutes on his bicycle around the residence and was subjected to getting flat tires because of the littered glass,” wrote arresting officer Jacob Desue in the report. “When confronted, (the victim) allegedly became irate with Kevin to include yelling and profanity. Kevin admitted to grabbing (the victim) by picking him up and dropping him to the floor. Kevin claims his actions were in self-defense.”

The victim was transported to an emergency department for his injuries.

Tried to sell stolen chainsaw

Joshua Wayne Johns ,43, of Starke was arrested on June 9 for the Feb. 2 offense of dealing in stolen property.

According to an arrest report, Johns attempted to sell a chainsaw that was earlier stolen from the River Bend Estates neighborhood.

First arrested for the incident on Feb. 22, Johns failed to appear for court on June 9.

Joseph Lawrence Kordecki, 46, of Lawtey was arrested by Bradford deputies on June 10 for an out-of-county warrant.

Sean Jason Martinez, 37, of Portersville, Georgia was arrested by Starke police on June 10 for resisting an officer.

Eric G. Mortimer, 44, of Starke was arrested by Bradford deputies on June 7 for possession of drugs, selling synthetic narcotics, possession of drug equipment and using a two-way communications device to facilitate a felony.

Matthew Wayne Odom, 35, of Palatka was arrested by Starke police on June 7 for an out-of-county warrant.

Benjamin Eugene Padgett, 25, of Starke was arrested by Bradford deputies on June 5 for a probation violation.

Shotgun pulled over parking dispute

Joshua Dean Padgett, 29, of Hampton was arrested by Bradford deputies on June 4 for aggravated assault.

According to an arrest report, the defendant pulled into a Loop Road Hampton residence and engaged in an argument with a neighbor about the defendant parking his truck in the road.

During the argument, the defendant leveled a shotgun at the victim. A witness recorded part of the encounter on a cell phone.  The victim was holding a machete during the incident. He told deputies he was using the blade for yard word when the defendant drove up.

Georgia Montez Reddish, 39, of Starke was arrested by State troopers on June 5 for DUI.

Lowel Jason Roberts, 47, of Starke was arrested by Starke police on June 8 for driving with a suspended or revoked license.

Katie Marie Sherwood, 38, of Hampton was arrested by Bradford deputies on June 10 for a probation violation.

Michael Glenn Starkes, 40, of Jacksonville was arrested by Bradford deputies on June 8 for possession of drugs and possession of drug equipment.

Dillon Andrew Wilkerson, 31, of Lake Butler was arrested by Bradford deputies on June 4 for an out-of-county warrant.

Union

Megaleto Andrews, 48, was arrested by Union deputies on June 10 for aggravated battery by a person detained in a correctional facility.

Thomas Jerrel Drawdy Jr., 51, of Lake Butler was arrested by Union deputies on June 6 for an out-of-county warrant and a probation violation.

Mallory Brianne Tetstone, 33, of Lake Butler was arrested by Union deputies on June 8 for child neglect.

Clay

Michael Dan Andrews, 48, of Keystone Heights was arrested by Clay deputies on June 8 for fleeing and eluding and a probation violation.

Christopher Richard Ballou, 36, of Keystone Heights was arrested by Clay deputies on June 8 for possession of drug paraphernalia and loitering and prowling.

Matthew A. Berry, 32, of Keystone Heights was arrested by Clay deputies on June 10 for being an out-of-state fugitive.

Tamara Maranda Fulton-Dolan, 43, of Keystone Heights was arrested by Clay deputies on June 5 for driving a vehicle without registration.

Ciro Garcia Ruiz, 36, of Keystone Heights was arrested by Clay deputies on June 9 for aggravated battery.

Geshyla Faye Street, 19, of Starke was arrested by Clay deputies on June 4 for assault and battery.

Brian Scot Tymoniewicz, 46, of Melrose was arrested by Clay deputies on June 5 for DUI with property damage or injuries.
