Recent arrests in Bradford, Union and Clay

June 18 through June 24

The following individuals were arrested recently by local law enforcement officers in Bradford, Union or Clay (Keystone Heights-area) counties. All defendants are considered innocent until convicted in a court or until pleading guilty or no contest. Information in this report is from law enforcement agencies and court documents, which are public records.

Bradford

Robert James Bellamy, 55, of Keystone Heights was arrested by Bradford deputies on June 20 for an out-of-county warrant and withholding support.

Refused to give up mother’s car keys

Brison Ellis Bynum, 22, of Starke was arrested by Bradford deputies on June 20 for larceny and resisting an officer.

According to an arrest report, the defendant’s mother called officers after her son took her car keys, left their Shady Oaks Trailer Park home in her vehicle, and returned later.

Deputy Jerad Mallard wrote in the report that Bynum appeared to be under the influence of an unknown narcotic. After the defendant refused several times to return the car keys, Mallard arrested him.

Tried to stick finger in baby’s mouth, choked mother

Calvin Holbert Carter, 36, of Starke was arrested by Bradford deputies on June 19 for battery.

According to an arrest report, while the victim was holding the couple’s infant and preparing a bottle for the child, the defendant walked up to the pair and began to stick his finger in the baby’s mouth. The mother thought the act might upset the child and asked the defendant to stop.

“Carter became upset, grabbing the victim, forcing her into the back bedroom where he began to hurt her,” wrote Deputy Moises Carotti in the report. The victim added that Carter kicked and choked her to the point that she blacked out. “She remembers ‘coming to’ (awakening) and running through the hallway, running for her life,” the officer added.

Edward William Davies, 60, of Starke was arrested by Bradford deputies on June 20 for a probation violation.

Ernest Clyde Dyal, 59, of Keystone Heights was arrested by Bradford deputies on June 24 for a probation violation.

Mother misidentifies vehicle, hits son more than 10 times

Deanna Michelle Hensley, 45, of Lawtey was arrested by Bradford deputies on June 22 for battery.

According to an arrest report, the defendant’s son said some friends came by the house to see him, and his mother mistook the friend’s vehicle for her own.

“Deanna Hensley pulled an 18-year-old female out of the vehicle thinking the vehicle was hers,” wrote Deputy Savannah Duncan. “(The victim) went to stop Deanna from attacking the girl, and Deanna began to strike (the victim) in the face. (The victim) said Deanna hit him more than 10 times in the face.” Duncan added that when she spoke to Hensley, the woman appeared to be intoxicated.

Justin Michael Hill, 24, of Starke was arrested by state troopers on June 21 for a probation violation and possession of marijuana.

Ashely Nicole Matuse, 33, of Keystone Heights was arrested by Bradford deputies on June 23 for a probation violation.

Sholeke Lomeke Merriwhether, 33, of Starke was arrested by Bradford deputies on June 20 for failure to appear.

Treyonce Malik Robinson, 19, of Starke was arrested by state troopers on June 21 for selling marijuana.

Matthew James Rolfes, 28, of Lookout Mountain, Georgia was arrested by Bradford deputies on June 19 for DUI.

Thomas Cole Smith, 24, of Starke was arrested by Bradford deputies and state troopers on June 19 for failure to appear, driving with a suspended or revoked license and possession of cocaine.

Union

Couple arrested for dealing meth

Kodi Cheyenne Crews, 33, of Lake Butler was arrested by Union deputies on June 21 for trafficking in amphetamine, selling drugs, possession of drugs and using a two-way communications device to facilitate a felony.

According to court papers, members of the Union County Drug Task Force oversaw two controlled purchases of methamphetamine by confidential sources from the defendant during May.

When deputies executed an arrest warrant on June 21, at the defendant’s residence near State Road 121 between Lake Butler and Dukes, they found Crews, along with her boyfriend Shawn Eiserman, in a truck. A search of the vehicle yielded 17 grams of methamphetamine and 1.4 grams of marijuana.

Shawn Mathew Eiserman, 34, of Lake Butler was arrested by Union deputies on June 21 for possession of drugs, possession of marijuana, trafficking in amphetamine and possession of narcotics equipment.

Daquan Malik Frazier, 22, of Lake Butler was arrested by Union deputies on June 24 for failure to appear.

Erika Jordan Garcia, 34, of Starke was arrested by Union deputies on June 23 for a probation violation.

Howard Frederick Redding III, 38, of Lake Butler was arrested by Union deputies on June 21 for selling drugs, possession of drugs and using a two-way communications device to facilitate a felony.

Camryn Aaliyah Silcox, 19, of Lake Butler was arrested by Union deputies on June 25 for possession of a synthetic narcotic and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription.

Clay

Donald Lefell Chase, 27, of Keystone Heights was arrested by Clay deputies on June 19 for domestic battery.

Aaron Scott Pons, 33, of Keystone Heights was arrested by Clay deputies on June 22 for possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and driving with a suspended or revoked license.

Desiree Angelina Shingler, 35, of Keystone Heights was arrested by Clay deputies on June 23 for a probation violation.

Tony Shane Wills, 30, of Keystone Heights was arrested by Clay deputies on June 18 for trespassing.
