The concrete block sign was damaged Monday, Sept. 12, when a 2020 Subaru struck the structure.

Searcy said the collision occurred around 7:10 p.m. when a driver in his mid-20s lost control of the vehicle after swerving off Airport Road. The car was headed in the direction of State Road 100.

The manager added that she will be filing an insurance claim soon, and the airport plans to erect a monument sign as a permanent replacement.
