The Florida Department of Revenue filed sales and use tax warrants on four Union County businesses on November 15.

According to county records, the state claimed Florida Innovative Septic Services, LLC failed to remit $29,695.63 in tax, penalties, interest, and fees to the state. The department filed similar warrants for Johnny Witt Welch for $70,079.90, Marvin Seay for $1,086.46, and Esford, Inc. for $1,794.78.

The department issues warrants to secure payment of delinquent taxes. After recording the warrants in official records, they become liens on the taxpayer’s real and personal property in the county.
