LAKE BUTLER— The Union County Public Library is now entering its third year hosting the Senior Social program. The seniors met previously at the Lake Butler Hospital, but when COVID struck, the program there ended. The library became the obvious place to hold the programs that now run on the first and fourth Tuesday of each month, starting at 10 a.m.
Seniors enjoy a wide variety of events, including crafts, refreshments, prizes, guest speakers, and much more. The group is always eager to learn new things, and “social” is the key word – they love socializing and catching up with all their friends.
All seniors are welcome to join the free, bi-monthly programs. For more information, check out the library’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/unioncountylibrary.
