The Union County Sheriff’s Office said it shuttered a Main Street smoke shop and arrested a worker after the man admitted selling illegal narcotics to minors.

Jay Rami, 19, of Gainesville was arrested for selling marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, and selling synthetic cannabinoids.

The agency said it executed a search warrant on the Smoke Haven Smoke Shop and found illegal narcotics packaged to distribute, as well as illegal cannabis vape oils. “Narcotics were seized that included a mixture of marijuana/hemp with high levels of THC oil,” the office said.
