STARKE—Billie Christine Astra, 43, was sentenced to 62 days in jail and three years drug offender probation after pleading to possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell within 1,000 feet of a school, park, childcare facility or community center.
According to a warrant affidavit, on September 1, 2022, the defendant sold 0.7 grams of the synthetic narcotic MDMA for $20 to a Bradford Sheriff’s confidential source. The transaction occurred at Pleasant Grove Park on County Road 229 around 11 a.m.
The State dropped additional charges of selling a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school, park, childcare facility or community center and illegally using a two-way communications device.
