Spooner honored for making a difference for behavioral health care

Commissioner Carolyn Spooner was recognized as the recipient of the Heart, Life, Community Award by Meridian Healthcare on Tuesday, December 3rd, 2024, during the organization’s Annual Board of Directors Meeting. The event was held at the University of Florida Hilton in Gainesville. 

This is award is presented to an individual who acts as a difference-maker, bringing heart and purpose to all they do in support of behavioral health care to strengthen our community.

The Meridian Board of Directors Vice Chair, Bob Milner, presented this prestigious award to Commissioner Spooner, along with the new President and CEO of Meridian, Lauren Cohn.
