STARKE— The Florida Highway Patrol said a Starke man died when his vehicle left the road, hit a gate, and overturned in Newberry on Thursday, June 8.
According to an FHP news release, the driver was traveling south at 3:35 p.m. on Southwest 298th Street when his vehicle left the road, went onto a grass shoulder, struck a gate, and overturned into a tree line.
According to the report, the driver was pronounced dead at the scene and was not wearing a seatbelt.
