Starke railroad overpass wins for outstanding project

The American Council of Engineering Companies of Florida recently honored eight Florida Department of Transportation infrastructure developments with Outstanding Project Awards for transportation achievements. Starke’s Railroad Overpass took the prize for Outstanding Bridge Project.
“These award-winning projects represent real solutions that enhance safety, strengthen connectivity, and improve the quality of life for Florida’s communities,” said FDOT Secretary Jared W. Perdue. “Every one of these projects show what is possible when dedicated teams across FDOT and Florida’s engineering firms collaborate and align behind the same mission.”
Other winning projects included U.S. 27 (S.R. 25) at S.R. 60 Interchange as Outstanding Major Project, S.R. 388 from S.R. 79 to Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport – Capacity Project for Outstanding Roadway Project and U.S. 41 over Caloosahatchee River – Pedestrian Improvements Project as Outstanding Safety Project.
