STARKE — As part of the Florida Department of Transportation’s Starke Railroad Overpass Interchange Improvements project, State Road 100 between U.S. 301/Temple Avenue and Water Street will be detoured nightly starting Monday July 25 to allow for installation of beam placements, weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting.
- Tuesday, July 26 from 5 p.m. until 6 a.m. Wednesday, July 27
- Wednesday, July 27 from 5 p.m. until 6 a.m. Thursday, July 28
- Thursday, July 28 from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. Friday, July 29
- Friday July 29, from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. Saturday, July 30
As shown in the map, drivers attempting to travel eastbound on State Road 100 will be detoured onto southbound U.S. 301 then left onto SE 144th Avenue (Hazen Street) to rejoin State Road 100.
Drivers attempting to travel westbound on State Road 100 will be detoured left onto SE 144th Street (Hazen Street), right onto U.S. 301 and then turn left to rejoin State Road 100. State Road 100 between SE 144th Street and Water Street will remain open to local traffic.
FDOT hired J.B. Coxwell Contracting to complete this $23.6 million project in summer 2023, weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting.
