The North Florida Regional Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for EV Studio Photography on May 2.

Owner Erica Vargas said she had been dabbling in photography for a long time, but her husband Richard’s active duty with the Navy took the family away from Bradford County for a while.  When the couple and their children returned, she began sessions in her garage but now has established a business presence in downtown Starke.

Vargas said two popular types of sessions are maternity photos and cake smash sessions for children.

“I have a room for that because they’re quite messy,” she said of the cake smash shoots.  “Can’t do that on carpet.”
