Natalie Thomas placed ninth out of 58 for Bradford High School at the Oct. 8 Middleburg Bronco Classic.
Thomas ran a time of 24:22, while teammate Alissa Reddish ran a 15th-place time of 25:18. Mackenzie Austin was 35th with a time of 30:15.
In the 67-member boys race, Bradford’s Koy Hartley was 39th with a time of 23:20. The Tornadoes’ Hayden Starling and Kayden Lee also ran, finishing with times of 27:00 and 27:28, respectively.
Earlier in the week, Bradford had two place in the top half of the girls race at the Oct. 4 Alligator Lake Invitational in Lake City.
Lindsey McCoy finished 55th out of 149 with a time of 25:12, while Reddish was 63rd with a time of 25:42. Layne Loper also ran, recording a time of 31:50.
Hartley placed 79th out of 139 in the boys race with a time of 23:09. Lee finished with a time of 27:51.
The invitational also featured middle-school races. Bradford’s Anna Adkins placed eighth out of 43 in the girls race with a time of 14:06, while Raelynn Alexander and Tinsley Fortune finished 10th and 20th, respectively, with times of 14:28 and 16:03.
Dakota Thornton and Autumn Dilung had times of 18:56 and 20:48, respectively, for the girls team.
Axel Markwich of the BMS boys team placed eighth out of 60 with a time of 12:10. Tucker Griffis and Andrew Warren ran 29th- and 33rd-place times of 14:04 and 14:26, respectively.
The boys team also got times of 15:33 from Ethan Ansley and 17:29 from Trevor Bedell.
