Trapped brother’s arm in car window, dragged him on roadway

Robinson

Bradford deputies arrested Benjamin Tyler Robinson, 22, of Starke, after his brother and witnesses said the defendant trapped his brother’s arm in a car window and dragged the victim along a road.

According to an arrest report, the victim told deputies that he and the defendant had argued over getting food to eat and were going to their mother’s house from the Pleasant Grove-area trailer park.

“(The victim) stated that he reached through the passenger side window of the vehicle to unlock the door to get inside,” wrote Deputy Taylor Sanders in the report. “(The victim) advised that Benjamin then rolled the window up on his arm, trapping (the victim’s) arm with the

window.”

Robinson then accelerated to between 10 and 15 mph, according to witnesses. The victim said that after breaking free from the 2005 Ford Explorer, his head struck the ground, and the defendant continued to drive away. One neighbor recorded the incident on a phone, but because it was dark, some details of the crime were not seen on the video. The victim refused treatment by EMS.
