UCHS boys golf team has 2 tie for 3rd in match vs. Chiefland

Gavin Kuhn and Ayden Tomlinson tied for third with scores of 50 for the Union County High School boys golf team, which lost to host Chiefland on Aug. 28.

The Tigers had a team score of 220, while Chiefland finished at 197.

Brysen Tomlinson made par on one hole and finished with a sixth-place score of 57 for the Tigers, who also got a seventh-place score of 63 from Emery Muse and a ninth-place score of 75 from Fenix Norman.

It was Union’s second straight match against Chiefland as the Tigers hosted the Indians at the Country Club at Lake City on Aug. 26. That match saw Union finish with a team score of 245 to Chiefland’s 214.

Kuhn and Ayden Tomlinson placed third and fourth, respectively, with scores of 54 and 55. Tomlinson made par on two holes.

Brysen Tomlinson shot a sixth-place score of 64, while Muse was seventh at 72.

Norman finished ninth at 78.

The Tigers (0-4) travel to play Bradford on Thursday, Sept. 4, at 4 p.m.
