Tucker Williams placed second for the Union County High School golf team, which lost at First Christian Academy on Sept. 5.
The Tigers had a team score of 231, which put them 14 strokes behind the Lions.
Williams made par on two holes to finish with a score of 50. That left him trailing medalist Brayden Pedersen by seven strokes.
Union’s Zoe Elixson made par on one hole in finishing with a third-place score of 52. Teammates Jordan Seay and Patrick Maxwell were seventh and eighth, respectively, with scores of 64 and 65, while Gavin Kuhn was 10th with a score of 76.
Prior to the match, the Tigers took on visiting Chiefland on Aug. 24, falling to the Indians by 60 strokes. Union had a score of 259.
Williams placed sixth with a score of 59, while Seay and Maxwell were seventh and eighth, respectively, with scores of 64 and 66. Kuhn shot a 70 for ninth place.
In a girls match between Union and Chiefland that same day, Elixson finished as medalist with a first-place score of 53.
The Tigers, as a team, lost to Chiefland, which had a score of 246 to Union’s 264.
Union got fifth- and sixth-place finishes from Katelyn Seay and Kerissa Seay, respectively. They had scores of 69 and 70.
The Tigers’ Madison Starling shot a 72 for eighth place.
