The Union County High School JROTC Raider Team qualified for the JROTC State Raider Championship again this year.

The UCHS JROTC program hosted the Area One State Qualification Raider Meet on Saturday, and the UCHS team dominated the Male-Mix category, winning all five events and the overall Area One Male-Mix Championship.

The team is headed to compete in the 2023 State Raider Meet Championship at the University of South Florida campus on Dec. 2.

The team won the 5K Run event by more than six minutes and set a new record in the One-Rope Bridge event with a time of one minute and twenty-six seconds.

The UCHS JROTC Raider team finished as runners-up in the last two state championships.
