Union County High School’s softball team earned a postseason berth and will travel to play Branford in a Region 3-Rural semifinal game on Thursday, May 7, at 7 p.m.
The Tigers (14-11) were awarded the third seed in the four-team region, while Branford (18-8) is the second seed.
If Union wins, it will play for the Region 3 championship on Tuesday, May 12. The Tigers would either travel to play top seed Madison County (17-3) or host fourth seed Hilliard (6-14).
