Shyla Crowe and Brooke Hunt each hit a double, but those were the only hits for the Union County High School softball team, which lost 14-1 to top seed Fort White in the District 6-1A tournament semifinals on April 30.
The fifth seed Tigers (14-9) trailed 11-0 when Leanne Dicks bunted and reached on an error with one out in the top of the fourth. Dicks advanced to second on a wild pitch before scoring on Crowe’s hit with two outs.
Union batters struck out 14 times as Fort White improved to 12-4.
