County Coordinator Jimmy Williams told the Union County Commission during its June 16 meeting that the Providence Fire Station will be completely erected by the end of June. Garage doors and exteriors will be installed in the second week of July, completing Phase 1 of the project. The next phase includes electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.Williams also reported that the county is receiving bids for the netting around new batting cages at the O.J. Phillips Recreational Complex. He added that the site work on the county’s new agricultural building will begin soon.
