The Union County School District thanked Murray Automotive Group for its support during the school board’s September 24 meeting.

Superintendent Mike Ripplinger presented the company’s representatives, Amir Asadi, David Green, and Savannah Murray, with a plaque expressing the district’s appreciation for the dealer’s support.

“For many years, Murray Ford has been a huge supporter and a great partner of the Union County School District athletic teams and other teams and competitions,” said Ripplinger. “We are very, very grateful for that.”

Murray Ford General Manager Amir Asadi said the company appreciated the recognition.

“I’ve been with the company since its inception, since 2009,” he said. “So, 15 years, and when we first came up to Starke, it was a small store in a small town. It’s been an honor to meet so many wonderful people, not just in Bradford County, but Union County, which we consider our hometown.”

Asadi recalled selling and then replacing a truck for school board member Curtis Clyatt because the first vehicle did not have a PTO.

“And I think Curtis and I have been friends ever since, but that’s just the way you do things,” the manager added.

“That truck is sitting right outside,” the school board member replied.
