The Union County Sheriff’s Office said deputies arrested runaways in Worthington Springs after they stole items from a Mennonite cemetery, including $43 in cash.

The agency identified two of the defendants as Wyatt Eugene-Ray Harris, 16, and Herbert William Coffman, III. 15.

According to an arrest report, deputies were called to Chastain-Seay Park in Worthington Springs after the three juveniles were spotted there. When officers arrived, the three fled into the woods. One was captured by his parents. Harris and Coffman escaped the immediate area but were later located in a field east of the Worthington Springs sports complex by Department of Corrections tracking dogs.

Coffman was also arrested for grand theft after deputies said he stole a black Honda Ruckus scooter and used the scooter briefly while trying to evade deputies.
