LAKE BUTLER — After a year or more without a Women’s Club Valentine’s Day Luncheon, thanks to COVID-19 and its subsequent mutations, club members have finally decided the coast is clear enough to allow the annual event to resume.
The date is set for Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2022 from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Suggested donation for the meal is $8, with the funds collected going towards the completion of the restoration of the historic clubhouse (which was Union County’s first courthouse).
All are encouraged to bring a friend, or their sweetheart, and dine on the main dish (often baked ham) and a selection of sides, salads and desserts showcasing the club member’s best recipes. Enjoy the wonderful food – all you can eat – and the company of friends and neighbors as you eat yourself into an afternoon “food coma.” Take-out containers will be available so you can “share the joy” with friends and family members unable to attend.
