Vernon earns rosette in fair’s Home Division

Cecilia Vernon earned a best-overall rosette in needlework, garments and needlecrafts in the Home Division at the Bradford Agricultural Fair.

Vernon’s exhibit was a rabbit carrying a basket of carrots, which earned her a blue ribbon in the holiday theme class. She also earned additional blue ribbons in the classes of pillowcases, towels, scarves, etc. and miscellaneous, while receiving a red ribbon in the pillow class.

Lisa Brannon and Carol Wise each earned three blue ribbons in needlework, garments and needlecrafts — Brannon in the baby afghan, lap robe and accessories classes and Wise in the quilts (machine-made), pillowcases and miscellaneous classes.

Sharon Carter earned two blue ribbons in needlework, garments and needlecrafts in the holiday and miscellaneous classes and a red ribbon in foods for relish.

The following earned one blue ribbon each in needlework, garments and needlecrafts: Abigail Cook (pillows) and Teresa Morgan (miscellaneous).

Apphia Cook earned a white ribbon in needlework, garments and needlecrafts (pillows).

The following earned one blue ribbon each in foods: Courtney Crawford (yeast bread), Jennifer Hoffman (jams and fruit butters), Amy Robinson (layer cake) and Edythe Robinson (jams and fruit butters).
