LAKE BUTLER— Lake Butler VFW Post 10082 held its annual Veterans Day luncheon for local veterans, their families, and members of the community immediately after the ceremony at Union County High School.

Post members and members of the Lake Butler Girl Scout Troop cooked and served the meal of pulled pork, green beans, and potato salad.  Several dessert items were included with the meal.  A total of 28 meals were served.

This is just one of the community outreach programs undertaken by the VFW in Lake Butler.  Events are always free to the public and held for Veterans Day, Memorial Day, Easter, Christmas, and Patriots Day.
