Wainwright, Hewett exhibit top 2 pigs at Bradford Fair

Kate Wainwright and Ella Hewett exhibited the grand champion and reserve grand champion, respectively, in the swine show at the Bradford Agricultural Fair.

Codi Huntley placed third with her animal, which was awarded the homegrown grand championship. Grace Turknett exhibited the fourth-place pig, which was the homegrown reserve grand champion.

Avery Gardner earned prizes as well for showing the fifth-place animal.

In senior showmanship, Ryder Thompson placed first, followed by Huntley and Cole Huntley. Hewett placed first in intermediate showmanship, while Gardner and Mason Stone were second and third, respectively. First place in the junior division went to Aubrey Hewett, with Jett Crawford and Zeke Balkin-Gainey taking second and third, respectively.

A skill-a-thon was held for the first time this year, with Codi Huntley winning the senior division and Stone winning the intermediate division. Caleb Griffis won the junior division.

Volunteer awards were presented to Ashlynn Turknett, Landen Waters and Blake Wynn, while Blake Conner received an award for helping with swine and steers.
