Former Clay County and Melrose firefighter Chip Ware was recognized as the State Fire Inspector of the Year during the 75th annual Florida Fire Marshals and Inspectors Association conference in Gainesville. Ware also served as the fire coordinator in Bradford County. He now works for Alachua County Fire Rescue.
